How we make money.

An independence claim means nothing without the revenue behind it. Stackmark has one source of income, and this page describes it, where it appears, and everything the site will not take.

01The sponsor slot

Some pages carry a single sponsored placement: a boxed panel labelled Sponsored in visible text, holding a sponsor’s name, one sentence in the sponsor’s own words, and a link. The link is marked rel="sponsored", which is the correct signal to a search engine that it is a paid link.

The slot is sold as a placement, for a period. It is not sold by position in any list, and buying it changes nothing else on the site: not a profile, not a comparison, not a filter result, not the order of a partner directory. A sponsor’s pitch may not call the sponsor the best, the leading or the number one anything; a test in the repository rejects the record if it does.

Where no sponsor holds a placement the slot renders nothing. There is no house advertisement and no “your logo here”.

02What we never take

Referral or lead fees
A reader’s details are never sold or passed to a vendor or an implementation partner. The one form on the site says where the address goes, and the endpoint behind it forwards nowhere else.
Paid placement outside the slot
No position in a list, a comparison, a profile or a filter result is for sale. Lists are alphabetical or sorted by a stated fact.
Paid inclusion or paid profiles
A system is profiled when its facts can be cited. A vendor cannot pay to be added, expanded or removed.
Affiliate links
No link in editorial content earns a commission. Outbound links to vendors are the sources a fact came from and carry no tracking.
Vendor-sponsored research
No profile, comparison, guide or figure is commissioned or reviewed by a vendor before publication. Vendors may correct facts through the corrections log; nothing else.
Selling reader data
Analytics, where enabled, records that a tool completed, not who completed it. Nothing is sold or shared. See the privacy notice.

03Why publish this

The site’s value to a buying committee is that nothing on it was paid for. The only way to make that checkable is to say exactly what is, and to keep the list of what is not in public. If this page changes, the change will be visible in the repository history and noted on the corrections log.
