Watch-outs

How is S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition deployed?
Cloud only. It is a multi-tenant SaaS product hosted by SAP on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud infrastructure depending on region; customers pick a hosting region but there is no on-premise or self-hosted option.[1]
How is it priced?
Per user per month on an annual subscription. ERP Research reports published list pricing of USD 180 per user per month; the subscription covers software, hosting, upgrades and standard support. Implementation is a separate one-time cost paid to a partner.[1]
What is the difference between Public Edition and Private Edition?
Public Edition is multi-tenant with mandatory twice-yearly upgrades and key-user or BTP extensibility only. Private Edition is single-tenant, allows full custom ABAP and lets the customer control upgrade timing.[1]
Can I customise it?
Within limits. Custom fields, business rules, CDS views and UI adaptations are supported, as are side-by-side apps on SAP BTP calling the core via APIs. Classic ABAP modifications are not.[1]
